Do the hustle (of the Christmas variety)

Oh my goodness...the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is here!!  This coming Sunday is Christmas, and I have yet to wrap one gift!  Wow!!

We did enjoy a magical weekend on the Polar Express train ride, and then an overnight stay at Big Splash waterpark!  So fun!

I highly recommend taking your kids on this, at least once.  It will be a memory that will last a lifetime for them!

I hope you and your family are enjoying your holiday preparations!
5 days until Christmas!

December Already

happy, happy, happy December everyone!
Wow, I cannot believe it is already upon us...ready or not.
it is already crazy busy, and i can't seem to stay caught up due to a cold that entered last weekend.
Ralphie, our elf made his appearance already, and the boys are in love with him!
Gabe wakes up every morning looking around the house trying to find him and to see what craziness he has been up to.
i can tell that Ralphie is going to be extra fun this year!
welcome December!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Santa's Promise

Santa spoke to the little one,
You've left me a big job to carry on.

To remind everyone on the earth
of your very special birth.

To fill their hearts with Christ like love,
and bring Christmas spirit down from above.

To have them open their hearts and minds,
to spread Joy, Peace and Love to all mankind.

As Santa was kneeling before the little one,
with promise in his heart,

He spoke softly to the tiny babe,
and vowed to do his part.

Been MIA

So sorry that I have been MIA these last couple of weeks!
December is already crazy busy, and I am just trying to keep up!
Can you believe the big day is in just 4 days!?!?!?
Are you ready?
I am not!
I am still working on Christmas cards, and I have a day of shopping planned for tomorrow while my
mother-in-law watches the boys for me.
How lucky am I?
***************************************************

So, one of my favorite thing that we have don so far this year has been taking a
Polar Express train ride!!
Oh my goodness, if you haven't done this yet, get on google, type in Polar Express and your state, and
order your tickets for next year!
It was fantastic!

This has been the best memory so far that we have made together as a family this year!
Thanks to my mom for ordering the tickets for us!
Can't wait to do it again!

Meet Ralphie

He arrived on December 1st, and the boys happily welcomed him to our home!
"What does he like to eat?"
"Can we see him fly?"
"Where are his teeth?"
"Does he see us when we aren't home?"
Those are just a few of the questions that we have encountered about Ralphie.
He's a fun little elf, and he definitely helps with getting the boys up in the mornings.
I wonder if they make a year-round, get-up-for-school helper elf??

Do you hear what I hear?

I just want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas!
Hold on to these fleeting moments of the magic and joy that only a child
experiences with Christmas. It is such a wonderful time of year!
I am so blessed with my family and friends, and I am so lucky that my boys understand that Christmas is not just about gifts, but about the gift of Christ!

Decking the Halls....and a field trip

I am still trying to get some Christmas decor up and around our home, and it is feeling more and more like the hoidays around here. I love all of the lights and just festive atmosphere. Even the boys had some fun putting on their Santa hats and joining in.

This is one of DCWV's rub ons that I purchased last year after Christmas for like $2. You just can't beat a good deal like that. I am really liking it on our mantel.

*************************************************************************************
Gabe had his first field trip today, and I was so happy that I was able to chaperone! My mom kept Graedon for me so that I was able to ride the bus with Gabe and just focus my attention on him and his day.
First, we made a stop at Big Lots (loooooove that store) for the kids to purchase a gift for a child in their class for the Christmas party next week. Then we headed to the library where the received their very own library cards and had a great lady read a few Christmas stories to them. Very fun. I really loved the peppermint song she sang with them.

We loaded back up on the bus and headed to the mall for some lunch at the food court and then off to visit Santa.

Here is Gabe with his buddy for the day, Nate.

The boys really enjoyed each other's company. Boys are so silly!

Here is Gabe with his cousin Taylor who is in the other Kindergarten class that was on the trip as well. Her buddy for the day was a little girl name Madison.

I had a great day with my bud Gabe. I am so blessed to be able to enjoy these times with him!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

The red totes are out in the house.
Christmas decor is awaiting to find its place in the house.
Glitter and tree needles cover the floor.
Christmas music has been filling the air.
It's Christmastime at the Killion household!

(Can you see my decorating helping in the reflection?)

Is it really December 1st already?

Where did November go?
Seriously, our tree is up, and the rest of our Christmas decorations are making their rounds around the house.
December just snuck up on me, tapped me on the shoulder and startled me!
I'm already behind!
How is it possibly December 1st already?
