Cocoa Beach Vacation

We were lucky enough to bring our nephews along with us this year to our annual Cocoa Beach, FL vacation.  I was a little nervous at first, since this was the first time taking other kids without other parents.  I was not for sure how bickering would end up or how to discipline, but I was pleasantly surprised with how well the trip went!  They LOVED it!  My boys loved being with their cousins, and I am sure this will be a trip that they will all remember for a very long time.

Posing outside of Ron Jon Surf Shop.  They all got a little souvenir from the shop.
This spot for photos has become a tradition for us every year.  It is the walkway at our resort that leads out to the beach.  We make a pretty good-looking crew.

My Killion boys.  Love this one so much!

He's Here

My nephew (who is still nameless) made his debut last night!  I made it to the hospital in time to hear them play a sweet lullaby over the intercom to announce that a new little one has entered the world.  I couldn't help but get a little teary eyed.  Welcome sweet baby boy!  I love you already!

The proud parents.

My snow buddies!

The boys woke up first thing Sunday morning, and I wasn't even fully awake before they started in with asking to play outside in the snow.
Chad was working in Indianapolis, so I needed to do something fun with them.
I dug out the snowsuits and boots, and we headed out.

We were a little bummed that the snow wasn't sticking well, so we couldn't build a snowman.
We still had a good time, and I was even to make snowballs for them to have...they ended up throwing them at me!  We had a fun time playing in the snow.
Winter is here!

Family Movie Night

So, we have started a tradition with the boys to host a family movie night at least once a week (depending on our schedules).
One of the things that Chad and I love to do is pick an old movie from our childhoods that we enjoyed watching and introduce it to our boys.
We've watched some good ones so far:  Goonies, The Adventures in Babysitting, Short Circut, Homeward Bound...those are just a few that have been hits.
Tonight, we are going to watch Harry and the Hendersons!
I know the boys have a great time, but I think Chad and I love it more.
Spending some fun family time together, and then sleeping downstairs together.
We call that "camping out."
If you have any good movies that you think we should watch with our boys, please add suggestions in the comments section!

"You have big hands."

Graedon has an obsession with putting things into boxes, carrying cases, lunch boxes, wipe boxes, really any kind of box that he calls his "secret box."  He then insists on taking that box everywhere with him.  One day, his "secret box" had a bunch of crayons in it.  We had the following coversation...

Graedon-"Will you get the crayons out for me?"

Me-"No,  you can do it."

Graedon-"No, I can't!"

Me-"Yes, you can.  Just get them out."

Graedon-"My hands are to wittle, see.  You have big hands, and I have wittle hands.  I can't do it."

Oh my goodness, I cracked up.  He was just matter of fact, and he meant it.  Love it!

Been busy

Life has been flying by.
Is it really the last week of February already?
It has been a whirlwind of craziness and busy days/nights.
This weekend was no exception.
My nephews were in town from Lousiana, and on Friday night we ventured to Chuck E Cheese.
Oh my, that place was crazy busy, but the boys loved it!
Gabe loves his older cousin Bryce so very much!
I know in my heart, that if he lived closer, they would be the best of friends.
It is sad that they cannot have a regular relationship together.
Maybe one day.

I think Graedon and Isaiah look a lot alike.
I will have to find a better photo of the two of them to show the resemblance.
Love these boys so much!
I am happy to say that this is finally melting!
I am ready for spring!
