My First Scrappy Class

Big Boy Haircut

My brother, Jesse has wanted to buzz cut Gabe's hair ever since I can remember. Gabe was born with a rockstar head full of hair, and it hasn't stopped since (well, except for when he was around 3 months old, and he looked like an old man with now hair on top). Anyway, Gabe has been in desperate need of a haircut for a few weeks now, and it was just getting worse. My brother, his wife Cristie, and my niece Taylor all came over for dinner last night. We were all playing outside, when I mentioned to Jess that I had a pair of clippers. I asked Gabe if he would like a haircut like his Uncle Jesse's, and he shook his head yes. We ventured outside, and he let Jesse cut his hair. Oh my, it looks different, but he looks so much older. Afterwards, he just walked around saying, "big boy coming through." Wow, what a difference a haircut makes.

Outdoor pics are so beautiful

I love taking outdoor pictures! They are so crisp and it just makes me happy to look at them. It makes me feel like a good photographer eventhough it has to do with the natural lighting outside.

Good Doctor News

I just had another cardiology appointment, and everything looked great on my last holter monitor test. His words were "It looked perfect." I am very relieved that he doesn't want to see me again for 3 more months. My new medicine is doing what it should be. What a relief!!

Some of you don't know that I have a heart condition that causes my heart to beat 150+ beats per minute at times, and it causes me to pass out. But the scary part this time is that I was having some chest heaviness, so I had to have a stress test done to check for blockage just to be sure. Luckily, everything came out great there. Just some scary stuff when you are messing with your heart. Now, if I can get off of the caffeine. :-)

Bedtime Woes

It has been a long past couple of months with the way Graedon has been sleeping. We are still going to lay down with him when he wakes up in the middle of the night, but luckily he's not waking up until about 5am now. The bad part now is that he will not go to sleep when we take him upstairs. I don't know what his deal is, but it seems to take over an hour for him to fall asleep. Gabe on the other hand is out in 5 minutes. Honestly, I just don't know what else to do here. It seems that my days are so long compared to how long the boys are up. If you have any words of wisdom, I am all ears.

Spring is in the air.

I love when spring finally starts to show itself. Today was beautiful. 66 degrees and sunny. I took the boys to the park. Now, Graedon is napping and Gabe is having some quiet time on the couch. It was awesome to get some fresh air. I even have my windows open. I'll post some pics from this afternoon as soon as I get a chance.

One of those days

I am having one of those "bad mommy" days. It just seems that every little thing the boys do just gets to me, especially with my older son. He is non-stop. Whether he's telling me that he's hungry, tattling on his brother, or just being loud, it just doens't quit. I'm just not in the mommy mood of entertaining them and being involved in every little thing that they are doing today. It makes me feel bad, but I wish I could have a day off every once in awhile.

Proud Mommy Moment

My oldest son Gabe (4) is playing his VSmile, and all of a sudden, I realize he is getting up and going to the tv to count the little dots on the dice for him to play. He is doing math! I cannot believe it! I am so proud. Where did he learn this? I know I count sometimes with him, but he just did that on his own. All I can say is wow.
